On 23rd January 2019, the new competition will see eight chefs battle it out on the Live Theatre stage to be crowned the Nutella® Champion and win a trip to Piedmont – the Italian home of hazelnuts. Ferrero Foodservice is calling on chefs to put their creativity to the test and invent a sweet or savoury dish that is less than 500 calories and contains no more than one heaped teaspoon of Nutella® per portion.

“We are delighted the Nutella® Challenge will be joining the prestigious Salon Culinaire competitions at the Foodservice Show in Birmingham. Creating lower calorie dishes that are bursting with even more flavour than their counterparts is the ultimate challenge and we are really excited to see just how imaginative chefs can be.”
The final will see chefs have 30 minutes to produce two portions of their Nutella® creations. The judges will be on the lookout for dishes that show creative flair in using the hazelnut and cocoa spread, whilst ensuring the taste and texture of Nutella® is instantly recognisable.
